Was it just a cell phone swap … or fate?

It’s bad enough when high-school senior Keeley mistakenly swaps cell phones with a stranger. It’s even worse when the stranger turns out to be an obnoxious, self-centered boy named Talon … who’s just left for football camp with her phone. Reluctantly, the two agree to forward messages for a week. As Keeley gets to know Talon through their texts, she finds out he’s more than just an egocentric jock. In fact, the two fall for each other, hard. But Talon has been keeping a secret. One that makes their relationship all but impossible. Will Keeley ever be able to trust him?

This romance offers high-school drama, humor and heart, plus a love story that will sweep you away.

The first thing I noticed with this book was that it was from Wattpad *insert cringe face* But I still gave it a try and I am glad I did.

Let’s start with the writing. It was okay. Not very good but not great either. It was written in a way that everybody will understand and will have no difficulty in understanding. What you see is what you get.

The plot was kind of a cliche and a little bit bland. These tropes have been written for the nth time and while it was a fun easy read, i can’t deny that the same old boring plot makes me frown once in a while.

For me, character development is everything and that was the one thing this book got right. They started out immature little kids and ended up being totally different persons and that is what I like. It gives a statement that anyone and everyone can change for the better.

Giving this book 3 stars because although I loved the character development and snippets of cheesy moments, those weren’t enough for me to give it a 4 star review. It was okay though but I would only recommend this for those of you who are hopeless romantic and are not afraid of cliches.
