Pay close attention and you might solve this.
On Monday afternoon, five students at Bayview High walk into detention.
Bronwyn, the brain, is Yale-bound and never breaks a rule.
Addy, the beauty, is the picture-perfect homecoming princess.
Nate, the criminal, is already on probation for dealing.
Cooper, the athlete, is the all-star baseball pitcher.
And Simon, the outcast, is the creator of Bayview High’s notorious gossip app.
Only, Simon never makes it out of that classroom. Before the end of detention Simon’s dead. And according to investigators, his death wasn’t an accident. On Monday, he died. But on Tuesday, he’d planned to post juicy reveals about all four of his high-profile classmates, which makes all four of them suspects in his murder. Or are they the perfect patsies for a killer who’s still on the loose?
Everyone has secrets, right? What really matters is how far you would go to protect them.
I love fast paced mystery books. ThoSbioks that needs you to really use your brain and make you doubt yourself. This book has that and more. It also featured diversity i all angles and, really, that is so much more important than everything else.
I can’t say much in the non spoiler part of the book but here’s what I’m telling you. Read this book. Read it and try to answer all the questions. It won’t bore you but instead spark your interest.
4/5 stars for this amazing book. It will make you doubt yourself then trust your own decisions too. Highly recommended.
I would have never guessed that outcome. I probably did when I was so desperate to find an escape that those 4 did it but really I didn’t consider it much. I came to that point of the book where I was thinking that I can’t see any of them doing it and if this turned out to be done by just some random dude then I will lose it.
But really I wanted it to be someone out of the 4. I suspected heavily on Bronwyn because she has the brains and the money. I even came to the point where I thought it was Addy’s alter ego. But Jake come up and I knew it was him. I knew it.
I never suspected Nate though. He and Bronwyn was just too sweet I can’t take it. I loved them. And Cooper’s coming out was so realistic it was beautiful as well as Addy refusing TJ even if I think he’s a genuinely nice guy but still you don’t fuck your friend’s girlfriend.
In conclusion, It seemed that this book was just another twisted version of 13 reasons why and I hope novels with plot like these don’t become a thing because reveng is so sweet to dumb ears. Sorry not sorry.
