Internet sensation Madison Nakama has it all! Her pop-culture rewatch site has a massive following, and fans across the world wait on her every post and tweet. Even Madi’s dismal romantic life seems ready to take off as Laurent, a fellow geek (and unfairly HOT French exchange student!) starts flirting with her in the comments section of her blog. But Laurent’s not the only one watching for Madi’s replies.
Internet fame has a price, and their online romance sparks the unwanted attention of a troll. When Madi’s “real life” hits a rough patch, she feels her whole world crumbling. With Laurent’s support, can Madi rally her friends across the globe to beat the troll, or will he succeed in driving her away from everything—and everyone—she loves?
Here is a YA contemporary romance for the iGeneration from Danika Stone, author of All the Feels!
So this was a good but frustrating read. It had its ups and downs and most downs are the way the story was told. I can’t connect to the character enough because she just seems all ovet the place at times. The main character was pretty naive and bitchy at the same time and that did not sit well me. She could respect her parents more and looked out for Sarah more and with more understanding. She didn’t have to be a bitch about it all the time then all lovey dovey when it came with Laurent.
It was a pretty good read about cyberbullying but overall Madi’s attitude really irks me. There was growth but just minimal amount, not enough to appease me. The writing was okay and fast paced and basically just what kept me going.
Giving this book 3 Royal Stars because it would have been better if Madi wasn’t such a bitchy baby 80% of the time.
