Dear Universe by Pierre Calasanz Labrador was such a light and empowering read.
The poems were well done in structure and it was not too deep that you can’t understand it. It gave that just light feeling that you as a reader can actually relate too.
I do hope that the negative feelings in this poetry book were just depictions of the poets eagerness to be a lot more positive because really we can’t have light if darkness does not exist right ?
I especially liked the poems about self worth and not forgetting yourself just to fit in with the crowd. Those poems are what we need in these times that we are being overcontrolled by social media.
I hope these poems are read by more teenagers that suffer anxiety or are introverts to show them that it’s okay to be who they are and not change themselves for other.
In conclusion, it was very well written with a great concept and message so it’s great for me and all of those that will be blessed enough to read this book.
